... that I am STILL only at episode 3 of the second season of Merlin, which means there is no way I can ever manage to catch up with seasons 2, 3 and 4 in the week before episode 5.1, which airs tomorrow in the UK, disappears from the BBC iPlayer site. As a consequence, this means I only have about 12 hours left to download as much Merlin fanfic, pictures or whatever I want as possible before I have to go on a complete Merlin Internet blackout if I don't want S5 to get spoiled for me. I have already re-routed my Merlin BBC Google alerts, and blacklisted all the tumblrs I need to NOT check on for the next few weeks.
I may or may not have wailed internally about how I could possibly survive out of touch with the Merlin fandom for so long. Internet addict? Me? Naaaaaaaaah!
It also means that once I've finally caught up, I'll have to hunt around the Net for download links of the S5 episodes I'll have missed. God, how I hate hunting for links. Like Forrest's box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get - and I really don't want to put my computer's immune system to the test. Plus, it is much more difficult to do when you're actively avoiding all the places where there might be spoilers...
And since I am ranting: I'm really pissed that season 4 DVDs still aren't available in North America when the season aired like in January. Because of that I'll have to watch that series on Youtube in low quality (unless I want to start looking for DL links there too.) Seriously, the Sherlock DVD was available the week after season 2 aired in the US, and the DVD of Dr Who season 7 pt 1 is already on pre-order on BBC America when it hasn't even aired this side of the Atlantic yet. That Merlin 4 isn't available yet a full year later is beyond ridiculous.
(Yes, I wrote to BBC America telling them exactly that - and kindly requesting they tell me when the hell it would be available, if they please. No reply yet.)
